Bianca Devins was a 17-year-old from Utica, New York, who had built a large online following through Instagram, Discord, and other social media communities. On July 13, 2019, she attended a concert in New York with Brandon Andrew Clark, a 21-year-old acquaintance who believed they were in a romantic relationship. After leaving the concert together during the early hours of July 14, an argument developed when Clark became jealous after seeing Bianca interact with another man. Prosecutors later stated that Clark drove Bianca to a quiet residential street in Utica where he attacked her. The murder quickly became one of the most widely discussed internet-related homicide cases due to the graphic content that followed.

The attack occurred near Poe Street in Utica, where Brandon Andrew Clark fatally cut Bianca Devins' throat. Shortly after the murder, Clark photographed Bianca's body and uploaded graphic images to Discord, Instagram, and other online platforms before attempting to take his own life nearby. Emergency services arrived after numerous people reported the disturbing images to authorities. Police found Clark seriously injured but alive beside Bianca's body. Brandon Andrew Clark pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2020. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
