Wisconsin teen Nikita Casap pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, admitting in court that he shot and killed his mother and stepfather after living with their bodies for nearly two weeks inside their home. Investigators say Casap fled across multiple states with cash, jewelry, and evidence, while digital records revealed extremist ideology, a manifesto, and alleged plans to assassinate the U.S. president and carry out terrorist attacks. A former graduate teaching assistant at Illinois State University sparked controversy after flipping over a Turning Point USA table on campus, an incident caught on video that later went viral. Investigators say the attention from that video led more people to scrutinize his inflammatory social media posts, which were already on the FBI’s radar and had prompted prior warnings about crossing into terroristic threat territory. Newly released 911 audio reveals a call made from the Tepe family’s home months before Spencer and Monique Tepe were shot and killed in their Columbus, Ohio residence, a case that remains unsolved. The emotional caller has been identified by family members as someone other than Monique, and they say the incident stemmed from a guest experiencing a breakdown during a gathering, not a domestic dispute involving the couple. As investigators continue searching for the killer, police are urging the public to help identify a person of interest seen walking behind the home in the early morning hours when the murders are believed to have occurred.
