A judge refused to dismiss the murder charges against Fraser Michael Bohm, the driver accused of killing four Pepperdine University students in a high-speed Malibu crash in 2023. Bohm’s new defense team, including Karen Read’s lead attorney Alan Jackson, argued there wasn’t enough evidence for the murder counts and claimed he was fleeing an aggressive road-rage driver. A 2-month-old Louisiana girl died from horrific abuse, with an autopsy revealing her lower spine had been severed, causing fatal internal bleeding, along with broken ribs, dehydration, and malnourishment. Police say the baby had been in the exclusive care of her parents, Taylor Daniel Broussard and Kaylee Fontenot, who are now charged with first-degree murder, cruelty to a juvenile, and second-degree battery. After nearly two weeks of searching, the body of 23-year-old Philadelphia woman Kada Scott was tragically found following an anonymous tip that led police back to the area where she vanished. Authorities have charged 21-year-old Keon King — who has a history of stalking and kidnapping — with multiple crimes including kidnapping, arson, and evidence tampering, though he hasn’t yet been charged with murder. Investigators believe King used a burned vehicle to move Scott’s body, and prosecutors say more charges are expected as the case continues to unfold.
