Beau Lamarre-Condon is a former New South Wales Police senior constable accused of murdering television presenter Jesse Baird and Baird's partner, Luke Davies, in Sydney on February 19, 2024. Lamarre-Condon and Baird had previously been romantically involved, but the relationship had ended. The prosecution alleges Lamarre-Condon developed an obsessive and jealous fixation on Baird, stalked him and ultimately entered his Paddington home armed with his police pistol. Prosecutors allege he shot Baird and Davies before transporting their bodies to a rural property near Bungonia. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated break and enter. His defence argues that both men died during separate struggles involving the firearm and that he acted in self-defence. His trial in the NSW Supreme Court began in September 2026 and is ongoing.

Bradford James Gille attacked 11 people with a folding knife inside a Walmart in Garfield Township, near Traverse City, Michigan, on July 26, 2025. The victims, five women and six men, ranged in age from 29 to 84, and one was a Walmart employee. Gille was arrested after bystanders intervened and prevented him from continuing the attack. He was initially charged with 11 counts of assault with intent to murder and one count of terrorism. A judge later found him incompetent to stand trial. In September 2026, following forensic psychiatric evaluations, Gille pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. The court accepted the plea, ending the criminal case and ordering his commitment to a state psychiatric facility.

Fotis Dulos became the focus of an internationally publicized criminal investigation after his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos, disappeared from New Canaan, Connecticut, on May 24, 2019. Prosecutors alleged that Dulos murdered Jennifer during a contentious divorce and child custody dispute before attempting to dispose of evidence. He pleaded not guilty to all charges but died by suicide in January 2020 before his trial began. Jennifer Dulos has never been found and is legally presumed dead.
