Robert William Pickton became one of Canada's most infamous serial killers after murdering women from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside during the 1990s and early 2000s. Convicted of six murders but believed by investigators to have killed many more, Pickton targeted vulnerable women, many involved in sex work or struggling with addiction, before disposing of their remains on his rural pig farm in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. The investigation exposed major policing failures and remains one of the largest serial murder cases in Canadian history.

Rosemary Pauline West became one of the United Kingdom's most infamous serial killers after participating in a series of murders with her husband, Fred West, between the 1970s and 1980s. Convicted of ten murders in 1995, Rose played a central role in abusing, controlling, and murdering young women and girls, many of whom were buried at the couple's home at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester. The case shocked Britain because of the scale of the crimes and the years they remained hidden behind the façade of an ordinary family.

Ruby Carolyn Padgett became known in American criminal history after being convicted of first-degree murder for her role in the 1986 robbery and murder of Pizza Hut delivery driver John Steven Harrigan in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although Mitchell Sims carried out the fatal shooting, prosecutors successfully argued that Padgett was an active participant in the kidnapping and robbery that led to Harrigan's execution. Convicted under California's felony murder principles, Padgett received a sentence of life imprisonment without parole. Often overshadowed by Sims, who became known as the "Pizza Hut Serial Killer," Padgett remains a convicted murderer whose participation was instrumental in one of the most infamous pizza delivery murders in the United States.

Russell Arthur Henderson is an American convicted murderer who participated in the kidnapping, robbery and fatal attack on 21-year-old University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard near Laramie, Wyoming, in October 1998. Henderson and accomplice Aaron McKinney lured Shepard from a bar before taking him to a remote location, where he was severely beaten and left tied to a fence. Shepard died six days later. Henderson pleaded guilty to felony murder and kidnapping and received two consecutive life sentences.

Stephen Port, widely referred to as the Grindr Killer, was a British serial killer who targeted young men he met through online dating platforms, particularly Grindr. Operating in London between 2014 and 2015, he used deception to lure victims to his home, where he drugged them with lethal doses of GHB before sexually assaulting and murdering them. Port’s crimes were marked by manipulation and calculated staging, often disposing of victims’ bodies in or near public areas and attempting to mislead police by planting false evidence. His actions exposed serious investigative failures by authorities, as opportunities to stop him earlier were missed. He was eventually arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Thayne Ormsby is an American man convicted of a 2010 triple homicide in Maine. At the age of 20, he carried out a violent attack resulting in multiple deaths within a single incident. He was later arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Waseem Daker became one of Georgia’s most controversial convicted killers after being found guilty in the 1995 murder of Delta flight attendant Karmen Smith and the attempted murder of her five-year-old son in Cobb County. Prosecutors argued that Daker carried out the attack as part of a long-running obsession with Smith’s roommate, Loretta Spencer Blatz, whom he had previously been convicted of stalking. The case drew national attention because of the violent nature of the crime, the lengthy delay before charges were filed, and the later disputes surrounding witness testimony and forensic evidence. The murder remained unsolved for years before investigators revisited DNA evidence collected from the scene. Hair evidence later linked to Daker became a central part of the prosecution’s case, eventually leading to his arrest and conviction more than a decade after the killing. The case later generated additional controversy after key witness Loretta Spencer Blatz partially recanted portions of her testimony following the trial, fueling debate around the conviction and keeping the case heavily discussed in true crime media, legal circles, and online communities.
