You and I both know that babies aren’t sold at Walmart, but Rebecca Taylor was blissfully unaware of this. She was making her way through the self-check line when she noticed another woman with an adorable baby. She approached the woman and complimented her child, but followed this up with a $250,000 offer to purchase her baby. The woman declined, but Rebecca wouldn’t let it go. Rebecca followed the woman out to her car, repeatedly yelling at her and trying to bribe her of her child. The victim eventually locked her kids in her car so that they’d be safe, and Rebecca began offering as much as $500,000 for the child. Police were later called, and CCTV footage proved that the victim's story, as strange as it may seem, was entirely true. Rebecca was then arrested under the felony charge of attempting to sell or purchase a child. This true crime short from 2023 will give you chills.
