Police in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, say 28-year-old Alexandra Kay Dawson tried to snatch a young boy from his grandmother’s arms at a county fair in what they believe was a random attempted kidnapping. Witnesses claim Dawson picked up the child, put a hat on him, and tried to run before a bystander intervened, restraining her until deputies arrived. Dawson, who is currently on probation for reckless endangerment and has active no-contact orders in unrelated cases, is now being held without bond on charges including child kidnapping, assault, and disorderly conduct.
