On February 14th, 2020, a passerby driving along Forest Road in Olympic National Forest, near Blyn, Washington, noticed someone lying on the side of the road. When they tried to get their attention and got closer, they realized it wasn’t a person in need of help – it was a body. The Clallam County Sheriff's Office was contacted immediately and by 3:10 PM, deputies arrived to find a truly horrific scene. In a bush, was the body of an unidentified young female. She was lying face-down on the ground, with the hood of her sweatshirt pulled over her head, and multiple lacerations on her body, and trauma to her head. And right next to her, were the murder weapons – a broken, bloodied tequilla bottle, and two blades; a folding knife, and a box cutter.Investigators immediately began treating it as a Jane Doe case – meaning the body was unidentified, and their first priority was finding out who she was.
