Her father reported her missing immediately, but investigators couldn’t find any clues leading to her discovery… until six days later when her body was found in an intersection just a few miles from her home. All we know is that she passed away after being fired at by an unknown assailant - this person is likely still alive today according to police, but he has never been found and no sketches are available to help us out with his appearance. Officers believe she lost her life inside of a moving car, then was thrown out into the intersection as the killer made a getaway. Her case remains unsolved nearly 50 years later.
