On Sunday, August 5th, 2018, Kalispell Police received a 911 call from Ryan Lamb in a state of distress, reporting that his partner, Ryan Nixon, had been injured and was unresponsive. Within four minutes, police were on the scene and quickly made contact with Mr. Lamb, who was understandably distraught. When Police entered the unit, they could see blood on the door step and on the landing. The apartment was in disarray and it appeared there was an altercation. There was blood on the bed and blood on floor. Once they entered the bathroom they found Ryan Nixon in the bathtub with the water running. Mr Lamb had reported that Mr Nixon had poke holes in him, and it was determined that those were the result of being stabbed by a pair of scissors that were found in the apartment. It was determined that Ryan Nixon was deceased. An hour after Ryan Nixon was found stabbed to death, they brought his boyfriend Ryan Lamb to the police station.
