She was the only passenger in her compartment, and when the train left the station, the doors were locked, with Deborah sitting in isolation for the remainder of the ride, accompanied by nothing more than her thoughts. But at some point during the ride, a woman in a neighboring compartment heard a scuffle, followed by a woman repeatedly screaming. When the train made it to its destination, the doors were opened and Deborah was found inside her compartment, her life having been taken with a blade. The criminal responsible has never been located, and officers have been unable to determine how someone could have boarded a moving train and done something like this, escaping before the train ever reached its destination. This case defies all explanation, and the culprit appears to have gotten away with the crime, as police have since classified this as a cold case.
