The subject of today’s true crime case Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered five young women in the space of just 5 months in 1979 in the state of California. They were not content with just killing these women, they tortured them with pliers, ice picks and sledgehammers leading to them being called the toolbox killers. They also took pictures of their victims during their agony and audio recorded them begging for their lives. In the case of their last victim, 16 year old Shirley Lynette Ledford a partial transcript of her rape and torture has been released and it is truly horrifying. The horror their five victims suffered and the depravity of Bittaker and Norris is almost beyond belief.
