In the early hours of Sunday 18th December 1994 a 27 year old woman called Alison Botha pulled up outside her home in Port Elizabeth, a city in South Africa unaware that she was being watched by a dangerous predator. In an instant a normal night turned into the start of a nightmare when a man appeared and held a knife to her throat. Her abductor then pushed her over to the passenger seat of the car and after picking up his accomplice drove to the outskirts of the city. Here Alison was subjected to a brutal sexual attack before being stabbed multiple times disembowelling her and having her throat cut to the point where she was almost decapitated. She was then left for dead.
