This second film in the two-part documentary follows the dramatic escape of Jack Shepherd after the tragic death of Charlotte Brown. As the investigation into Charlotte’s death deepened, police uncovered serious failings — from the condition of Shepherd’s speedboat to the extreme speed at which he was travelling on the Thames. Experts compared it to driving at 140mph on a motorway. While awaiting trial for manslaughter at the Old Bailey, Shepherd was involved in a violent assault and then, on the first day of his trial, failed to appear in court. He had fled. What followed was a year-long international manhunt, stretching across Europe to East Asia, as authorities pursued a fugitive determined to evade justice.
