In December 1998 21 year old Lynsey Quy went missing from her home in Stamford Road, Southport in Merseyside UK leaving behind her 2 children and her 23 year old husband Mitchell Quy. Quy, like any concerned husband, appealed to the press for help finding his wife but he had in fact killed her and spent the next 18 months manipulating the press in order to get himself attention.
