On Friday 11th May 2018 a 911 called was made reporting that a Cimarron Thomas had shot herself in the head at her home in the town of Bruceton Mills in West Virginia. She was just 12 years old. Her death devastated her family who had absolutely no idea why this little girl would end her own life. Her father Ben could not come to terms with her death and, 18 months after losing his daughter, he also took his own life. Little did anyone know that both deaths were caused by a man called Alexander McCartney who was half a world away in Northern Ireland. From here, he had, for years, targeted children on line blackmailing them into committing horrific sexual acts on themselves, family members and animals. Alexander McCartney’s offending is truly shocking, he has been dubbed the world’s worst catfish in the press and he is believed to have abused over 3000 children.
