The woman was estimated to have been between 35 and 40 years old with brown hair, but there was little else investigators could make out about her appearance. Her body remained unclaimed and unidentified for another 52 years, but in January of 2023, police were finally able to use her DNA to give her name back. Detectives revealed that the woman was Coleen Rice, born in 1931 in Ohio. She was married in 1946 at the age of 15, but she was estranged from her family, so no one knows how she ended up in Arizona. Investigators are still searching for the person who placed her in the canvas bag all those years ago.
