The murderer was 23-year-old John James Alcott, a railway fireman from Hither Green Depot, who stole £160 from the railway booking office. 01:25:00 Death on the Underground The murder of 73-year-old Polish aristocrat Countess Teresa Lubienska on the eastbound Piccadilly line platform of Gloucester Road Underground station.
