On May 12, 2002, friends Carter Elliott and Timmy Robertson were found shot execution-style in their Arkansas home. Investigators interviewed Carter’s ex-wife Lark. She revealed that since their divorce, she had moved to Utah and married military veteran and doctor, Richard Conte - from whom she was now separated. Soon after, Lark was reported missing. Learning she had been kidnapped, police rushed to Conte's remote cabin, where they discovered him holding Lark hostage. Officers negotiated her release and arrested Conte.
