In late August 2023 investigators recovered multiple items of interest after searching the former Park City, Kansas, home of Dennis Rader, aka the BTK killer. Authorities now consider him a prime suspect in several unsolved cases, including the death of Cynthia Dawn Kinney. For almost 20 years, a Kansas husband and father was suspected of murdering his wife, Vicki Wegerle, but the murderer was really the BTK killer. In 2005, "48 Hours" correspondent Erin Moriarty spoke to the Wegerle family about their long and painful ordeal.
