In 1988, 60 Minutes reporter Jennifer Byrne spoke to a young man who was captured and drugged, but luckily managed to escape a notorious sex ring, known as The Family, suspected of involvement in five thrill killings in Adelaide, South Australia. Only one person, Bevan Spencer von Einem was convicted of the crimes, but detectives have always suspected he was not acting alone. Von Einem has been serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of 15-year-old Richard Kelvin. Now at 79 years old, the despicable child murderer is in prison hospital in dire condition, believed to be suffering from lung cancer. *The Family (1988)* ► Subscribe: http://9Soci.al/chmP50wA97J ► WATCH Full Episodes on 9NOW: https://9now.app.link/uNP4qBkmN6 *MORE VIDEOS like this one* ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGRkHxckdJI ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRwNl4K252s ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5hgpO0qiys FOLLOW 60 Minutes Australia ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/60minutes9 ► TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@60minutes9 ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/60Minutes9 ABOUT 60 Minutes Australia 60 Minutes Australia have been telling the world’s greatest stories for over 40 years.
