In July of 2022, Larry Sanders and his close friend Jimmy Knighten went out for a relaxing day on the South Canadian River in Oklahoma. Later on that afternoon, Larry returned home alone. His daughter asked him where Jimmy had gone, and Larry openly admitted to taking Jimmy’s life. According to Larry, he did it in self-defense after Jimmy had summoned Bigfoot to eat him. Jimmy supposedly made it out of the grasps of Bigfoot by baiting him and running away, but Larry claims the beast then turned toward him and began chasing him… so he attacked Jimmy in retaliation so he wouldn’t be left alone in the woods with the monster. Police say Larry had been arrested before, and he has been known to smuggle illegal goods into the local jail, so they have reason to believe that the entire ordeal was made up while Larry was under the influence. Now, did Larry truly believe the story he told? Probably. Was Bigfoot truly after him? Definitely not. This true crime documentary from 2023 will give you chills.
