After local rancher, Mary Ann Moorhouse was not heard from by her co-worker, he would call the local police to perform a welfare check. Mary Ann stated to that co-worker that she suspected there was an intruder on the property earlier that day... The police would discover Mary Ann, nearly decapitated on her ranch... During their investigation, detectives received word that their potential suspect, 26-year-old Andrew Magill was at a nearby hospital... He was brought in for questioning... This is that interrogation. (SPOILERS BELOW) In May of 2019, Andrew Magill pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder, two counts of assault with intent to commit a violent felony upon a peace officer, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. On September 6, 2019 after many delays due to the mental state of Magill, he was sentenced to 51 years in prison for the murder of the woman, and shooting of a sheriff's deputy in Lincoln County, New Mexico. 6 years of that sentenced were suspended by the judge, so Andrew will spend the next 45 years in prison.
