It was a little after 6 a.m. on February 3rd, 1996, in Orlando, Florida, when the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Lil’ Champ Mini Mart on Clarcona Ocoee Road. Locals who stopped in daily on their way to work were surprised to find the store closed and the lights off, despite the well-loved manager’s car being parked out front.
