When first responders arrived, they found 46-year-old Erwin Chrishom “Chris” Bennett with a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition. For the next 12 days, medical teams battled to save Chris, but he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators interviewed witnesses - and quickly learned that Chris had been in an argument with 60-year-old Sandy Elaine Williams in the lead-up to him being stabbed.
