Just after midnight on January 13, 2021, police in an Ohio city were called to a residence on a local street following reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries. Before losing consciousness, she told detectives that her attacker was her 36-year-old roommate, alleging that the woman had assaulted her with a knife and a pair of scissors during a violent outburst. The victim had recently fallen on difficult times and had been invited to stay at the home by a former coworker until she could regain stability.
