The real life murder mystery begins in February 1996, when 31-year-old Terence is found dead in the bathroom of a Florida convenience store. He has been stabbed 73 times - and the store has been robbed. Investigators believe the killer was injured during the attack, leaving his own blood behind at the scene of the shocking true crime case. In spite of that, no suspect can be identified... and the real life thriller remains unsolved for decades. Then, in 2019, detectives reopen the unbelievable true crime case and use genetic genealogy to analyze DNA from the blood recovered from the crime scene. That testing leads investigators to Kenneth, a former employee of the store who lived nearby at the time of the killing. Stough is brought in for a full police interrogation.
