In 2016, the murder of 19-year-old Larnell Bruce shocked the community of Gresham, Oregon. Larnell, a Black man, was run over by a car in a racially motivated attack, and his killer, Russell Courtier, a member of the white supremacist gang European Kindred, received a life sentence. This documentary tells the story of the crime, the trial, and the racial tensions that fuelled the violence. Hosted by journalist Mobeen Azhar, the film examines the rise of white supremacist groups in America and the toxic influence they have on communities. It also takes a hard look at the impact of racism and extremism, through the eyes of Larnellās family, the defendant, and those close to the case. With a powerful, personal approach, the documentary reveals the disturbing reality of hate in modern America, offering a poignant reflection on the deeper issues of racial injustice and the societal divide.
