On February 3, 2024 at around 2:25 am a 911 call comes in to the Amarillo Police Department by Juan Salinas stating that his girlfriend had been shot... He then hung up... When 911 dispatchers called back, Juan told them that his girlfriend, 27-year-old mother of 2 (his children) had shot herself in the chest. Her name is Cecilia Rodriguez. When police arrived, Juan Salinas exited the home covered in blood and carrying the couple's 1-month-old baby girl. Their other child, a 3-year-old boy was found in the same room as his deceased mother hiding under blankets. Juan Salinas was taken in for questioning... This is his NO BS Interrogation! (SPOILERS BELOW) During trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Salinas had a history of physically assaulting Cecilia and was very controlling in their relationship. He isolated her from family and friends. On August 8, 2025, a Randall County Texas jury found Juan Salinas guilty of murder after just a five-day trial.
