Stacy Mackey, a warm-hearted woman who overcame significant physical and mental health challenges to live independently, was tragically murdered by Terrence Armor, a man who became obsessed with her after they met during hospital treatment. Initially forming a platonic friendship, Armor's affection grew disturbingly intense, framing her as a daughter figure before devolving into toxic possessiveness when Stacy tried to distance herself. Despite warnings and reports to the police, Armor's threatening behavior escalated. On January 27, 2012, he broke into her flat with a prepared "killing kit" and set her on fire using white spirit, leading to her death after 15 hours of futile medical efforts.
