On June 20, 2019, young mother Sandy Cervantes went out to run errands and was kidnapped at gunpoint outside a variety store. Nearly a year later, her body was found buried in an abandoned house. She had been shot to death. Investigators learn two armed men had robbed David Rodriguez at the same variety store the same night, forcing him into the trunk of his car. The gunmen are identified as Brandon Jay Cruz and Pablo Reyes. Police believe the pair could also be responsible for Sandy's murder. In the midst of the COVID pandemic, police bring Cruz in for a formal interview. Investigators choose not to disclose that they've already found Sandy's body.
