Today’s true crime case takes us to 2012 when 16 year old Alex Skeel started dating Jordan Worth, outwardly a bright bubbly 16 year old who had aspirations of being a teacher. However, this relationship would almost cost Alex his life. Jordan Worth is a very dangerous young woman who subjected Alex to a campaign of abuse over almost 5 years. She controlled every aspect of his life, banned him from seeing his friends and talking to his family, took control of his money and forced him to quit his job and instead go to classes with her at University even though he was not studying there. Between 2016 and 2017 the abuse escalated significantly Jordan burned, starved and stabbed Alex with him being forced to bind his wounds with clingfilm and football socks. It was only with the help of a persistent Police Officer and Alex’s own bravery that the abuse came to an end in June 2017 and he was able to get proper medical treatment with doctors saying that he was 10 days away from death. When confronted with her behaviour Jordan showed no remorse for her actions and was completely disconnected from reality. Today’s true crime case takes us to 14th March 1989 when 21 year old University of Texas student Mark Kilroy was kidnapped in the city of Matamoros in Mexico whilst enjoying a trip away on spring break. After extensive searching his body was found on 11th April 1989 at a remote ranch in the Mexican desert, the compound of a cult known as Los Narcosatánicos led by a man called Adolfo Constanzo who preached that human sacrifice would make his followers immune from law enforcement interference into their drug dealing activities. Mark’s mutilated remains was found buried on the grounds of the property and showed that he had been sodomised and tortured for hours before his death, his brain had also been removed and boiled in a cauldron. As if this horror was not bad enough the remains of 14 other people who had died in a similar fashion were found buried on the compound although it is believed that the cult murdered over 20 people. Today’s true crime case begins with a 999 call in the early hours of 11th May 2012 to report that a fire had started in 18 Victory Road in the city of Derby. There were 6 children inside the house. The call was made by one of the people who lived there, Mairead Philpott. Her call was part of a plan concocted by Mairead, her husband Mick Philpott, the parents of the children inside, as well as a third man called Paul Mosely which involved deliberately setting fire to the house so that Philpot could heroically save the children. The reason for this plan? so that Philpot could punish his live in mistress Lisa Willis who had dared to escape his abuse by framing her for this crime, getting her sent to prison and robbing her of custody of her children, including 4 that he had fathered, not due to any love for the children but to hurt Lisa. The plan went wrong and fire quickly took hold at 18 Victory Road and all 6 children died. Mick Philpot was completely indifferent to the deaths of his children and couldn’t help showing this including with him flirting with female mortuary staff whilst standing feet away from the bodies of his slain children. This was who Mick Philpot was, a man with no remorse, conscience or guilt who had spent a lifetime abusing, manipulating and hurting others. In the aftermath of the fire he and Mairead appeared in front of the cameras at a press conference where he pretended to cry which, when you see it will make your skin crawl. By the end of this video, I think you will agree that Mick Philpot is one of the most evil men in the UK. Today’s true crime case is about Eleanor Williams a deeply disturbed woman who, in March 2023, aged 22, was jailed for a series of false allegations of rape against 4 men. Her stories were pure fantasy, she claimed to have been trafficked into sex work and even sold at an auction in Amsterdam. She posted pictures of herself with horrific injuries which she claimed had been the result of her being repeatedly beaten and raped. These were in fact injuries she had caused to herself, all part of her sick campaign to get attention. Some of her claims were clearly taken straight from Hollywood films, specifically Taken. However, unlike this tale of fiction there were real victims of Williams’ lies. She accused 4 men of some of the most serious crimes imaginable, although they were all completely innocent. Some of the men she accused had only the briefest of interaction with her and one had not even met her. Due to her lies, all of the men’s lives were ruined and 3 of them tried to commit suicide. One spent over 2 months in prison and another was section. She accused both white men and Asian men of totally fabricated offences and her claims against the latter led to a wave of hate crimes against completely innocent Asian families and businesses in her home town of Barrow-in-Furness in the county of Cumbria in the UK. Despite her lies being picked apart Williams remained defiant to the end. Today’s true crime case looks at the muder of Ann Maguire who, at 11:30am on 28 April 2014, was teaching a Spanish Class at Corpus Christi Catholic College in the city of Leeds, a school she had devoted the last 40 years of her life to and from where she was due to retire in a few months. Without warning she was attacked by one of her pupils, 15 year old William Cornick who stabbed her to death in front of a horrified class of children plunging an 8 inch knife into her neck and back again and again and again. She managed to run from the classroom pursued by Cornick and was shielded from further attack by another teacher but she soon died from her injuries. After the attack Cornick sat down next to his classmates as if nothing had happened and said “good times” before talking about experiencing an adrenaline rush. This was not some random act of violence, Cornick had been planning this murder for months and he claimed that he intended to kill 2 others teachers including one that was pregnant. What had Ann done to deserve such a horrific death, absolutely nothing, Cornick was fuelled by irrational hatred which had been building over a number of years, directed towards a woman who was loved by her family, friends, staff and pupils. A few weeks before the attack he wrote on line stating that Ann “deserves more than death, more than pain, torture and more than anything that we can understand.” Cornick was extremely proud of what he had done and was assessed in court as an extremely dangerous child with no remorse or empathy for others. Today’s true crime case is about 8 year old Victoria Climbié, a happy and intelligent little girl with her whole life ahead of her, who, in November 1998, was taken from her home in the Ivory Coast by her great Aunt Marie-Thérèse Kouao with Victoria’s family allowing this because Kouao promised Victoria a comfortable life in France and the best education. However, nothing could be further from the truth, Kouao was a sadistic psychopath and narcissist who used children to claim benefits from the state to fund her lifestyle. To her, this was their only purpose. In April 1999, after racking up debts in France Kouao relocated to the UK with Victoria who, by this point, was likely already being abused. Quickly Kouao met and began a relationship with a man called Carl Manning an equally sick and twisted individual and she and Victoria quickly moved into his flat in North London. It was here that, for the last 7 months of her short life, Victoria was subjected to the most inhuman and degrading treatment. She was bound, burned, scalded, starved, and beaten by Kouao and Manning as well as forced to sleep in a black bin-liner filled with her own excrement and urine in this bath tub in the depths of winter without any heating or light. Her life of horror came to an end on 25 February 2000 at the age of just 8 years old when her body simply gave up after months of torture and abuse. The pathologist noted 128 injuries on her tiny body and described it as the worst case of child abuse he had ever seen. There were at least 12 opportunities to save Victoria before her death, she has repeated contact with council workers, social services and doctors but no one did anything to save her. Today’s true crime case is about the Snowtown murders which involved the killing of 12 people between 1992 and 1999 by a group which included Robert Wagner and James Vlassakis with the ring leader being a man called John Bunting. Bunting a former abattoir worker was a sadistic psychopath who would target people at random to be eliminated due to them being suspected of being paedophiles, being homosexual or for any other reason he concocted to enable him to torture and murder other human beings. Bunting would get his victims to call him “Lord” and “Sir” and liked to look into their eyes when they were murdered. None of the perpetrators or victims were from Snowtown which has become synonymous with this case and only one of the murders occurred here but this is the place where the 7 year crime spree ended when the dismembered bodies of 8 people were found in 6 barrels of acid stored in a disused bank vault in the town. This is a story of absolute depravity and is, by number of victims, the worst serial killing case in Australian history. Today’s true crime case begins with the cowardly crimes of Elliot Rodger in 2014 which spread across the world and, whilst most reviled this creature a small, but significant, part of society venerated this pathetic excuse for a man. One of these people was Jake Davison, a disturbed and dangerous man 22 year old man, a self described involuntary celibate, or incel who, on 12 August 2021, after years of deteriorating mental health and a growing hatred of women took his legally owned pump action shotgun and killed his mother. 60 seconds after this murder and, in just 6 minutes, he murdered 4 more people whilst walking the streets of the Keyham area of Plymouth in the UK before turning the gun on himself. The failings of the Police is this case are truly shocking. Today’s true crime case takes us to 2020 and Angel Lynn a beautiful 19 year old young woman who had her whole life ahead of her, she had aspirations of being a forensic scientist for the Police. However, she would never get that opportunity. However, for the last year, she had been in the clutches Chay Bowskill, also aged 19, who had physically, a horrific excuse for a man who had verbally, emotionally and psychologically abused her leaving behind a trail of truly vial messages that he had sent someone he claimed to love. By September 2020 Angel had had enough and left Bowskill but he would not let this happen, she was his possession to use and abuse as he saw fit. On the morning of 17th September 2020 Bowskill kidnapped Angel, literally lifting her up off the street and carrying her to a waiting van. Just 10 minutes later Angel was found lying seriously injured on the side of the A6 dual carriage way she had either fallen or been pushed out of the van she was abducted in whilst it was travelling at between 60 and 70 miles per hour. Angel survived but with horrific life changing injuries which means that she is now severely disabled and will need round the clock care for the rest of her life. Bowskill robbed her of any hope for the future she dreamed of an deserved. This case is truly horrific and heart-breaking in equal measure not just because of the actions of this monster but also his remorselessness, the justification of his actions by his family, the lenient sentence he received and the quality of life that Angel is now forced to live. Today’s true crime case is about Michael Wayne Ryan who was an American white supremacist, antisemite and cult leader who during the 1980s led a group of Christian extremists who were based in a farm just outside the tiny village of Rulo in Nebraska where they gathered weapons for an impending race war that Ryan had been told, apparently by God, would soon herald the end of the world. Within their compound, Ryan, referring to himself as a King and the embodiment of the archangel Michael. In contrast to this self-aggrandisement Michael Ryan was a psychopathic sexual sadist who used his position to direct horrific acts of violence and sexual abuse including fathers being forced to engage in sex acts with their young sons and vice versa. This horrific environment eventually led to the murder of 2 people, a little boy called Luke Stice who was just 5 years old and a 26 year old man called James Thimm. The death of James was particularly horrific with him being tortured over the space of 3. This case is one of the worst I have ever come across and will make you question how deep and dark the depths of depravity people are capable of really go. Today’s true crime case is about Peter Kürten, known as the "The Vampire of Düsseldorf", a German serial killer who was convicted 9 people, with 8 of these crimes occurring in the space of 8 months in 1929. He also attempted to kill many many more. However, this is likely an under estimation of the true horror of this man’s crimes and it is believed that he may have ended the lives of over 60 people. He used a variety of methods to end the lives of the women and children he targeted including stabbing them with scissors and knives and beating them to death with a hammer before attempting to drink the blood of some of them. He was once called "the king of the sexual perverts", a man who got sexual arousal and achieved orgasm from seeing the blood of his victims whilst stabbing and slashing them. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg of this man’s absolute depravity which consumed every aspect of his life. Today’s true crime case takes us to the afternoon of the Friday 12th February 1993 when 2 year old James Bulger was out shopping with his mother Denise in the New Strand Shopping Centre in Bootle, a town in the North West of England. Just before 3.40pm Denise went into a butchers shop and, whilst paying for some items, she let go of her son’s hand briefly. This decision would haunt her for the rest of her life as within approximately 4 minutes James had wondered outside on his own approached and was led away from the shopping centre by two 10 year old boys, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson who then walked with James for 2.5 miles before murdering him. This case has continued to caused anger in the 30 years since James’ murder not only because of his horrific death but also because of the short sentence that both murderers served, the fact they were given new lives and new identifies and that one of them, Jon Venables, has been convicted of a number of offences since his release including twice for possessing sexual abuse images of children. However, he has been able to maintain his anonymity throughout all this.
