Today’s true crime case takes us to March 2021 when the nation was in shock when 33 year old Sarah Everard was abducted, raped and murdered by Wayne Couzens a serving Metropolitan Police Officer. People were horrified that a monster like that was employed in the Police and asked whether there were more evil men were amongst the ranks. The public would soon get their answer. Just a few days after Wayne Couzens was sent to prison for the rest of his life the Police knocked on the door of another serving officer, one who worked for the same force and in the same unit as Couzens. His name was David Carrick and his arrest brought to an end a campaign of violence, rape, degradation and control against multiple women over almost 2 decades. As if this was not sickening enough, concerns were known about Carrick for years with complaint after complaint being made about his behaviour but they were all ignored. Today’s true crime case takes us to Saturday May 23 2015, when 21 year old Jed Allen, a deeply disturbed young man murdered 3 members of his own family including his mother, his stepfather and his half sister who was just 6 years old. Each was stabbed to death at the family home in the town of Didcot in the UK. Jed was a man whose descent into depravity was documented on line including him posing with weapons such as axes and knives held between his fingers like his idol, the fictional character wolverine. This case is not only shocking because of the brutality of Jed Allen’s crimes but also the appalling reporting of his actions afterwards which, despite him butchering 3 people, including a 6 year old child, appeared to try and portray him as the victim in this case and not a monster. Today’s true crime case takes us to In June 2020 when 6 year old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes was in the last month of his short life. He had been subjected to months of physical and psychological abuse and neglect by his father Thomas Hughes, and his father's partner, Emma Tustin in his home in the town of Solihull in the West Midlands of the UK. This had turned a happy little boy into a scared and terrified child whose final hours were caught on CCTV at his home showing him emaciated with his pyjamas hanging off his body whilst being forced to sleep on the floor. By this point Arthur had 130 bruises over his tiny body and was barely able to hold himself upright. This system also captured heart breaking audio of this little boy crying out with no one to hear him. On 16th June 2020 Emma beat him to death. Thomas and Emma engaged in a disgusting pantomime led by this evil woman where she tried to claim that Arthur’s injuries were his own fault. Today’s true crime case takes us to August 2016 in the UK when Shana Grice, a 19 year old woman was scared. She had repeatedly contacted Sussex Police to report that she was being stalked by her ex partner, 27 year old Michael Lane. She reported him on at least 5 occasions and nothing was done. This was despite Lane assaulting her, stealing her key and breaking in to her property at night, standing over her bed whilst she slept. In fact, Shana was fined for wasting Police time for reporting the harassment. The Police finally took notice but only after Lane had murdered Shana on the morning of 25th August 2016. He broke into her home, slit her throat and then tried to burn her body. Lane tried to get away with his crimes but was eventually convicted. However, the true horror in this case comes from not only the Police inaction but the unapologetic, heartless demeanour of at least one Police Officer involved in this case who utterly let down Shana in life and disrespected her in death. This case is important as stalkers can be some of the most dangerous offenders, they are relentless in their behaviour, and this can lead to a victim suffering psychological torture 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Some will eventually take the life of their victim and stalking is a common indicator of potential domestic homicide. Today’s true crime case takes us to 18th March 2018 and 13248 Pike Lake Drive in Riverview in Florida. At 11:43 pm Hillsborough County Sheriff's received a horrifying 911 call from 33 year old Kenyatta Barron telling the operator she had been shot and then begging for her life. They also heard a man’s voice in the background. This man was Ronnie O’Neal III, a violent, controlling domestic abuser. Deputies quickly arrived at 13248 Pike Lake Drive in Riverview and came across a scene of absolute horror. The property was on fire and lying outside was the body Keke who had been shot and beaten to death. However, this was just the start of the nightmare officers came across as O’Neal had also viciously attacked his 2 children. Stumbling out of the property was 8 year old Ronnie O'Neal IV, he had been burned by the fire and stabbed by his father repeatedly essentially disembowelling him. By some miracle he survived. However 9 year old Ron’Niveya was not so lucky. This beautiful and vulnerable little girl who had Cerebral palsy was found dead in her home. O’Neal had hacked her to death with an axe. Ronnie O’Neal is the epitome of evil and this case is not only horrific because of his crimes but his sickening behaviour at his trial where he represented himself and tried to claim self-defence. This monster even cross examined his own son, the child he had tried to murder. Today’s true crime case takes us to 12.45pm on Saturday 11th February 2023 when 16 year old transgender teenager Brianna Ghey left her home in the town of Birchwood in the County of Cheshire in the UK for the last time to go and meet her friend 15 year old Scarlett Jenkinson. Scarlett had also brought her friend Eddie Ratcliffe, also 15 to join them. Little did Brianna known that she was walking into a trap and that Scarlett and Eddie were obsessed with violence with Scarlett having aspirations of being a serial killer. They had compiled a list of people they were going to kill, to fulfil their fantasy and Brianna’s name was on that list. It later came out in Court that Scarlett had likely already tried to kill Brianna by giving her an overdose of medication and they had planned to kill Brianna on 2 separate dates before the day she finally died. Brianna’s heart breaking final journey was captured on CCTV showing her meeting her killers who then took her into Culcheth Linear Park and then subjected her to a frenzied and savaged attack, stabbing her 28 times. Brianna fought desperately for her life but quickly succumbed to her injuries. Her body was found almost immediately by a couple who saw the pair running away. Just over 24 hours later the Police had both perpetrators in custody and had to go through a shocking collection of evidence including handwritten notes and text messages showing how long they had been fantasising about killing someone. Neither has shown any remorse for their crime, in fact Scarlett told a Psychiatrist that she found the act of killing exciting and wanted to do it again. Today’s true crime case takes us to the early hours of 7th June 1992 when 18 year old apprentice hairdresser Katie Rackliff was brutally murdered whilst walking home from a nightclub in Camberley, a town in the south of England. She was subjected to a frenzied attack being stabbed over 30 times including through her heart and her genitals were also mutilated. Some of the blows from the knife that killed Katie were delivered with such force that they passed through her body. Police were horrified and believed that they were looking for a fully grown man. They couldn’t be further from the truth. The killer was aged just 12 years old and her name was Sharon Carr, one of the youngest female killers in UK criminal history. Even by this young age she was displaying psychopathic traits and had a pattern of horrific sadistic violence including amongst the most horrific acts of animals abuse I have covered in this channel. She chose Katie completely at random simply to experience the thrill of killing which she found sexually arousing. Carr might have gotten away with this crime but 2 years to the day that she killed Katie she launched a horrific knife attack against a 13 year old pupil at school. She was sent to a Young Offenders institute and she began bragging about the murder of Katie to friends and family. She also kept a diaries in which she documented her crimes and her violent thoughts. Her notes are truly deranged and included her regret that she had not caused Katie more agony with her writing: “If only I could kill you again. I promise I would make you suffer more this time, you fucking slag. Your terrified screams turned me on.” Sharron Carr has been incarcerated for almost 30 years and is one of the most dangerous women in the UK prison system who has been dubbed “The Devil's Daughter”. Today’s true crime case is about Ben Field who is one of the most heartless, calculating and manipulative people I have covered on this channel. In 2011 Field befriended a lonely man called Peter Farquhar who gay and deeply religious so had chosen to remain celibate for all of his life. However, as he entered his twilight years, he was increasingly scared of spending his old age alone. Field professed his love for Peter and wormed his way into his life using this man’s fears against him. Over the next 4 years Field manipulated, abused and gaslit Peter. On at least 50 occasion Field drugged Peter in his own words “for no other reason other than it was cruel, to upset and torment Peter - purely out of meanness". This turned a former university lecturer into a shell of his former self, a man who was terrified he was losing his mind. Money was a big motivator to Field but not as important to him as exerting power over Peter and he filmed Peter in his confused drugged state for his own amusement. Eventually, Field tired of Peter and, in October 2015 plied him with alcohol and suffocated him. Field then immediately began seducing a vulnerable lonely 81 year old neighbour of Peter’s called Ann Moore-Martin who he also manipulated for her money and who he may also have murdered. He drew up a list of 100 potential victims who he was working his way through. Ben Field was eventually convicted for his role in the death of Peter Farquhar and received one of the longest sentences for a single count of murder in UK criminal history. This was to reflect the absolute inhumanity and calculation of this psychopathic killer who was clearly working his way to becoming a serial killer. Today’s true crime case takes us to the city of Manchester in the UK on 3rd April 2010. At 2:17pm 37 year old John Maden called his sister and asked whether her daughter, his niece, 12 year old Tia Rigg, could go to his home in Dalmain Close in Manchester in the UK to babysit his 10 year old daughter. This was a trap, Maden had, for the last year, descended into a world of online depravity revolving around paedophilia, rape and torture. He had downloaded hundreds of extreme images of child abuse and violent pornography and was reading documents giving directions on how to commit a sexually motivated murder. At 3pm Tia turned up at the home of her Uncle who she loved and trusted and was attacked. Maden raped, tortured and murdered Tia. At 3:45pm Maden dialled 999 and said " My niece has been murdered by me ... I have just finished killing her now." When asked why he had done this, he said, "Because I felt like it" and put down the phone. John Maden will spend the rest of his life behind bars, he is a remorseless, psychopathic child murderer who has never shown any remorse for his crime or given an explanation for this act of brutality. Today’s true crime case is about Luka Magnotta is a Canadian killer who in 2012 ended the life of 33 year old Jun Lin, an undergraduate at Concordia University who had been in the country for less than 2 years having come to Canada for a fresh start and better opportunities. This crime was particularly heinous as Magnotta filmed himself dismembering the corpse of Jun. The video showing this was uploaded to the internet by Magnotta titled 1 lunatic one ice pick. He then mailed parts of Jun’s body parts to Political parties and schools across Canada before fleeing the Country. This horrific murder was planned with Magnotta promoting the video he was going to release days before the murder, this was all part of his lifelong obsession with gaining attention. He had decided to do this by committing acts of unbelievable cruelty which began with him uploading videos of him drowning and suffocating cats before escalating to murdering another human being. When Magnotta was eventually caught, over 4000 miles away in Germany, he was googling himself, a perfect example of the remorseless, vain, narcissistic, psychopath he is whose sole focus in life was self-promotion. Today’s case takes us to the early hours of 26 June 2022 when 29 year old career criminal Jordan McSweeney was drunk and lurking around the streets of Ilford a town in East London in the UK looking for a woman to rape. He had already been kicked out of a pub for groping woman and was combing the streets looking for a woman to assault. He had already followed at least 4 women, who had managed to escape, when he spotted 35 year old aspiring solicitor Zara Aleena a young woman with her whole life ahead of her who was walking the short distance home from a night out. McSweeney followed Zara and then attacked her, dragging her into the driveway of a house where he subjected her to a horrific attack. Zara was found by a member of the public but the 46 separate horrific injuries she suffered had caused catastrophic trauma to her body and she soon lost her fight for life. National horror turned to anger when it was revealed that Jordan McSweeney had a long history violence and had only been out of prison for 9 days when he killed Zara and, on the day he committed this crime, he should have been back behind bars. However, staggering failings by the Probation Service meant that he was free to kill. Today’s case takes us to the mid 1980s when 3 Police forces across the south of England launched a massive manhunt for a serial rapist and serial killer who had engaged in a 4 years crime spree between 1982 and 1986 targeting lone women walking from train stations in London and the surrounding area who they subjected to horrific sexual assaults before eventually escalating to murder. Eventually it was discovered that there were actually 2 men responsible for these horrific crimes, lifelong friends, John Duffy and Robert Mulcahy, sadistic sexual psychopaths who had begun by torturing and killing animals as children to stalking the rail network in and around London as adults brutalising innocent and defenceless women. These evil men were likely responsible for at least 33 rapes and 3 murders with many of the surviving victim’s describing Duffy’s staring, cold soulless eyes. Their campaign of terror came to an end in 1986 with the arrest of Duffy who was caught with the help of criminal profiling, but it would not be until 1999 that Mulcahy was arrested and only because John Duffy gave up the name of his accomplice, after over a decade of silence. John Duffy’s name appears on the list of 75 prisoners who will never be released and Mulcahy is also likely to die behind prison walls.
