A 31-year-old Arizona mother, Brandie Gotch, snapped during an argument with children at a Peoria park, pulling one boy by the hair, chasing another with a stick, and ultimately using her truck to run over a 12-year-old girl’s leg before speeding through a crowded play area. After fleeing, she was arrested and appeared emotional, confused, and at times joking in custody before giving a chaotic account of the incident during interrogation. A woman accused former NBA star Iman Shumpert of dragging and hitting her after a confrontation over alleged cheating, prompting police to respond to his Georgia home. Officers interviewed Shumpert, the woman, and a witness who said Shumpert only grabbed her wrist to escort her out after she refused to leave, and police noted she had no visible injuries. After determining no crime occurred, authorities filed no charges, and Shumpert later stated the woman had damaged property and repeatedly refused to leave before being escorted out. Former adult film performer Chelsea Perkins, known online as “Selena Savage,” drove from Virginia to Ohio and executed her former classmate Matthew Dunmire inside Cuyahoga Valley National Park, later claiming she did it because she believed he raped her years earlier. Tara Palmieri, 19, was charged with a felony county of fleeing and eluding a New Smyrna Beach, Florida police officer in October. The officer tracked down Palmieri at a house nearby.
