George Toca had just turned 17 when his best friend, Eric Batiste, was shot and killed by his partner during a botched armed robbery in New Orleans in 1984. George was arrested and convicted of the crime because an officer from their neighbourhood, who knew Eric and George, assumed they were together. The crossbow killer Stephen Griffiths would spend the rest of his life in prison for the murder and mutilation of Suzanne Blamires, 36, Shelley Armitage, 31, and 43-year-old Susan Rushworth. He told officers he had eaten some of his victims, adding "that's part of the magic". Griffiths was arrested by West Yorkshire Police after CCTV footage of him attacking Ms. Blamires at his block of flats was discovered by a caretaker at the complex.
