On April 23rd, 2018, 25-year-old Alek Minassian, a student at Seneca College, went to Ryder Rentals to and asked to rent a truck to move his furniture out of his house. A background check came back clean on Alec, so he was permitted to rent the van. He had no idea how to drive the van, so he asked one of the sales reps to show him how to switch the van's gear shift. After the rep left, Alec then sat in the van alone for over 20 minutes. but then suddenly a new facebook post During those minutes, he was putting out a cryptic facebook post that would mark the beginning of the 2018 Toronto Van Attack. that white van made its way on the sidewalk along Yonge Street as Minassian intentionally rammed through the sidewalk hoping to destroy anything or anyone in the way. Minassian moved from sidewalk to sidewalk, swerving sides and targeting pedestrians which was clearly part of his “Incel Rebellion” but we’ll get to what that is later. This was 1:20 – 1:29 p.m. on the business center, a time when everyone is out on their lunch breaks, so he picked a God-awful time to cause havoc on the streets on Canada. Finally, after 9 minutes, A cop car pursued the van till it eventually stopped and out came the driver; 25-year-old Alek Minassian. Seeing as he was caught on multiple cameras, he had 2 choices; either to surrender peacefully or fight.

On May 21 2016 around 4:30 p.m., 35-year-old Douglass Detrie filed this report after his live-in girlfriend, Nicole Vanderheyden, didn’t end up coming home since last night’s party. This nightout would turn out to be the most gruesome and twisted cases in the histroy of the Brown County. Usually, after a missing person’s report is filed, the police confirm more details by meeting the caller and then carry out a search for the missing person. But for some reason, this missing person suspiciously matched the description of someone who was discovered 3 hours ago in a farm field. After this shocking reveal, the missing person’s case turned into a possible homicide as the dead body was identified as Nicole Vanderheyden.

In December 2008, a man named William Blodgett vanished under mysterious conditions.Blodgett's son, Greg, reported him missing on January 3, 2009, after no one in his family was able to reach him for more than 10 days. Police investigated and learned Blodgett reportedly had an issue with his tenant, later identified as Peralta, around that time and tried to evict him, a police report cited in the criminal affidavit said. A detective later interviewed Peralta but "no new leads" came from the conversation, the affidavit said. Authorities searched the home and the neighborhood, talking with neighbors and using a cadaver dog, but did not find anything. Blodgett's vehicle was still parked at the home and there were no withdrawals from his bank account, the affidavit says. Police eventually said the case got cold and was closed. "All leads in reference to this case have been exhausted. This case will be closed pending further leads or information," …That was until 15 years later, a shocking confession from a former suspect, Tony Peralta, finally unraveled the mystery of a once-cold case.
