Rheanna Harden, 23, is going to prison for 40 years for a June 2025 incident in which she fired a gun at a deputy from the back of a cruiser. Harden slipped out of her handcuffs and was able to grab a gun she had stashed in her shorts. The intense incident happened in Marion County and led the deputy to fire back at Harden. What started as a routine traffic stop on Georgia’s GA-400 in the early morning of December 31, 2022, escalated when Atlanta police pulled over then-Cameron Batson for allegedly speeding nearly 90 in a 55 mph zone and suspected DUI. During the stop, officers attempted to arrest Batson, a struggle broke out, a firearm was discharged injuring an officer, and Batson fled, crashing the truck and running before being found hiding nearby. He was charged with aggravated assault and other felonies, later released by the Atlanta Falcons, and ultimately accepted a negotiated plea resulting in 10 years of probation. What started as a quick fast-food pickup in Largo, Florida, spiraled into a criminal case when 31-year-old McKenzie Keeling returned to Raising Cane’s furious over missing sauce and allegedly grabbed an employee’s lanyard during the confrontation. Surveillance video backed up the employee’s account, and police charged Keeling with strong-arm robbery, a second-degree felony, despite her insistence that she was only trying to read the worker’s name tag.
