Leonard John Fraser, also known as The Rockhampton Rapist, was an Australian convicted serial killer. Fraser originally confessed to five murders in an apparent deal with police to avoid general population in prison, but one of those victims was 14-year-old Natasha Ryan, who was found to be alive and living secretly with her boyfriend in a nearby town after being listed as a missing person for five years. Richard Benjamin Speck was an American mass murderer who killed eight student nurses in their South Deering, Chicago residence on the night of July 13–14, 1966. A ninth potential victim, student nurse Corazon Amurao, escaped Speck's detection by hiding beneath a bed. He was also serving 11 consecutive sentences of life without parole in conjunction with the same crimes as well as the 1997 murder of Anthony Martinez of Beaumont, California. John Wayne Glover was an English-Australian serial killer convicted of the murders of six elderly women (aged from 60 to 93) over a period of 14 months from 1989 to 1990. The victims included Winifreda, Lady Ashton, widow of the English-Australian impressionist painter Sir Will Ashton, in suburbs located in Sydney's North Shore. Alton Coleman was an American serial killer who, along with accomplice Debra Brown, committed a crime spree across six states between May and July 1984 that resulted in the deaths of eight people. Coleman, who received death sentences in three states, was executed by the state of Ohio in 2002. Brown was sentenced to death in Illinois and Indiana, but the sentences were later reduced to life imprisonment without parole and 140 years, respectively. Though no bodies were found, Ray was accused by his accomplices of killing several women and was suspected by the police to have murdered as many as sixty women from Arizona and New Mexico while living in Elephant Butte, approximately seven miles north of Truth or Consequences. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a recommendation that he serve a minimum of 35 years. Black died from a heart attack at HMP Maghaberry on 12 January 2016, aged 68.
