On 14 January 2016, 60-year-old businesswoman Sadie Hartley was brutally murdered in her Lancashire home in a shocking and premeditated attack. Stunned with a cattle prod and stabbed more than 40 times, her death was described by the judge as “not a crime of passion, but a crime of obsession, arrogance, barbarity, and pure evil.” The investigation quickly uncovered a calculated plan by Sarah Williams and her accomplice Katrina “Kit” Walsh, who had stalked Sadie for months using GPS trackers and CCTV.
