A veteran who had recently relocated to New Mexico was last heard from on July 26, 2025. Naval officer Christopher Olsen was accused of brutally beating and strangling his wife Jesse in a Japanese hotel in 2024, leaving her body behind while he checked out alone. In September 2025, he accepted a plea deal against the family’s wishes, receiving 23 years in prison, dismissal from the Navy, and an order to pay restitution for Jesse’s funeral expenses. A 31-year-old Arizona mother, Brandie Gotch, snapped during an argument with children at a Peoria park, pulling one boy by the hair, chasing another with a stick, and ultimately using her truck to run over a 12-year-old girl’s leg before speeding through a crowded play area. After fleeing, she was arrested and appeared emotional, confused, and at times joking in custody before giving a chaotic account of the incident during interrogation.
