Christina Formella, a former special education teacher and soccer coach from South Downers Grove, Illinois, faces more than 50 felony charges related to allegations that she groomed and sexually abused a teenage boy. Formella's case is slowly moving through the courts in DuPage County. What started as a missed Spirit Airlines flight at the Fort Lauderdale airport quickly spiraled into a chaotic confrontation that ended with passenger Slyvvia Nzeakor in handcuffs. Deputies say the 41-year-old became disruptive after arriving at the wrong gate and missing boarding, while bodycam footage captures her repeatedly insisting she “did nothing illegal” as officers escorted her out and ultimately arrested her for trespassing. After an hours-long meltdown that continued all the way to jail, the felony charge was later reduced to a misdemeanor and the case was eventually closed, much like Spirit Airlines itself. On April 8, 2022, after his parents had separated, his mother, Adrianna, called his father, Aaron, for help, saying David was armed with a shotgun.
