On Sunday 4 August 2019 a family from France were enjoying their holiday in London and decided to visit the Tate modern museum on the banks of the River Thames unaware that their lives were about to change forever. The family included a 6 year old little boy happily skipped ahead of his family to the viewing platform on the 10th floor. Amongst the crowd was a teenager, 17 year old Jonty Bravery who had been following children and looked down at the drop below. Without hesitation, in front of horrified onlookers, Bravery scooped up this 6 year old boy and threw him over the edge sending him plummeting 100ft to a balcony below, the child survived but with life changing injuries. On the morning of 26th August 2015 people in the city of Roanoke in Virginia tuned in to the WDBJ's morning news program unaware that they were about to witness a murder. They would have seen 24 year old Alison Parker conducting a live interview with a woman called Vicki Gardner at Moneta's Bridgewater Plaza when shots rang out. Within seconds Alison and the camera man 27 year old Adam Ward lay dead and Vicki was seriously injured. The camera caught a glimpse of the killer and he was quickly identified as Bryce Williams real name Vester Lee Flanagan, a man who had worked as a presenter for the same networks as the victims but had been fired almost 2 and a half years before. He was a narcissist a man whose home was covered with pictures of himself who had filed lawsuit after lawsuit blaming everyone else for his own inadequacies. On the morning of Monday 3rd February 2025 Caroline Willgoose said goodbye to her 15 year old son Harvey as he left the house not realising that she would never see him alive again. He had recently fallen out with a friend of his, Mohammed Khan, also 15 years old and whilst Harvey thought they had resolved their difference Khan had other ideas, Harvey didn’t know that his so called friend was a disturbed and dangerous young man who had developed a fixation with weapons and on this day was armed with a hunting knife and was just waiting for an opportunity to use it. Just after midday on Monday 4th September 2023, Minot Central Dispatch in the US state of North Dakota received a 911 call from a 48 year old woman called Ina Kenoyer who was concerned about her partner, 51 year old Steven Riley. An ambulance was called and Steven was on the brink of death, he never regained consciousness and died the next day. An autopsy showed that he had been poisoned with antifreeze and all evidence pointed to Kenoyer. Her motive, to inherit 30 million dollars that she believed Steven was due to inherit, but there was just one problem, it was all a scam. On Wednesday 30th July 2008, 22 year carnival worker Tim McLean was travelling on Greyhound bus 1170 returning home to the city of Winnipeg in Canada after working at a fair in Edmonton. He would never make it home alive. During the journey a 40 year old man called Vincent Li boarded the bus and sat next to Tim. He was a schizophrenic who believed he was the second coming of Jesus, put on earth to save humanity from an alien invasion and he was armed with a hunting knife. Without warning Li launched into a vicious attack, stabbing this innocent man repeatedly in the neck and chest but this was only the start of the horror. During the evening of 5th January 2023 a fire engine attended reports of a Peugeot 206 on fire on the M61 near Bolton. This was a routine shout but little did the firefighters know this would trigger the start of an investigation that would disgust the nation. In the car was a human placenta showing that one of the occupants had recently given birth but had fled. Police were able to retrieve documents from the burnt-out shell and identified Constance Marten and Mark Gordon as being the couple who had been in the vehicle. These two, one of whom was a convicted sex offender, had already had 4 children taken from their care but they were now on the run with a fifth, baby Victoria. In March 2018 Jennifer and Sarah Hart were a 38 year old married couple living in the state of Washington in the US. On Friday 12th November 2021 19 year old Ashley Wadsworth stepped on a plan from her native Canada to the UK to meet her on-line boyfriend, 23 year old Jack Sepple, the pair had been communicating on and off for 7 years but this was the first time that they were meeting. On the evening of Friday 22nd September 2006 16 year old Cassie Jo Stoddart was housing sitting at her aunt and uncle’s property in the city of Pocatello in the state of Idaho. She had no idea that she had been targeted for beath by 2 deranged fledging serial killers Brian Draper and Torey Adamcik, both 16, her supposed friends who were hiding in the basement armed with knives waiting to strike.
