Esmeralda Ferrer Garibay, a glamorous TikToker with tens of thousands of followers, was found murdered alongside her husband and two young children in an abandoned pickup truck in Guadalajara, Mexico, their bodies wrapped in plastic and believed to have been executed cartel-style. Police in Tallahassee arrested Jermell Jones in July while he was dressed in a Chuck E. Cheese costume, after he was accused of stealing a customer’s debit card and making fraudulent purchases around town. Bodycam footage of the arrest, which happened in front of children at the entertainment center, was just released by Tallahassee police. The man accused of killing his wife, Suzanne Morphew, could soon be released from jail on a $3 million surety bond. A judge denied Barry Morphew’s request to lower his bond to $500,000 but changed it from cash to property or bond-backed security. Prosecutors argue he is a flight risk due to his wealth, mobility, and history of moving assets, while his defense insists he has strong ties to his daughters and previously complied with all court conditions. Lexington police say 21-year-old Laken Snelling has been arrested after officers found a deceased infant hidden in a closet, wrapped in a towel and placed inside a trash bag. Investigators allege Snelling admitted to giving birth, concealing the evidence, and discarding the baby along with cleaning supplies. She is now charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant, while the coroner works to determine the child’s cause of death.
