Patrick Spikes, a former Disney World employee, stole animatronics and props, including the Epcot robot Buzzy, in 2019. Authorities arrested him, but he received probation and community service instead of jail time. The case, which involved stolen memorabilia and a publicized investigation, was closed in 2020.
