New documents reveal that in the months before the December 30 murders of Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer, accused killer Michael McKee was sought in a Las Vegas malpractice lawsuit, where servers say he appeared to vanish and may have provided false address information. Police say McKee, a vascular surgeon and Monique’s ex-husband, is accused of carrying out a domestic violence–related double homicide, then fleeing back to Illinois, where he was later arrested and linked to the crime through surveillance, his vehicle, and weapons recovered from his apartment.
