Authorities in Wisconsin are investigating whether the unsolved 2020 stabbing death of 24-year-old John Schmutzer at Devil’s Lake State Park could be linked to a recent double homicide in Devil’s Den State Park, Arkansas. In the Arkansas case, 28-year-old Andrew James McGann was arrested and allegedly confessed to fatally stabbing Clinton and Cristen Brink while they hiked with their children, with DNA evidence tying him to the scene.
