On the night of July 31st, 2021, 23-year-old Nico Gonzalez was at a party with friends when tragedy struck. At some point during the gathering, two rival groups of teenagers got into a heated altercation. Wanting to defuse the situation, Nico stepped in to break up the fight – never realizing that decision would end up costing him his life. The fight escalated quickly. Guns were pulled, and within seconds, up to ten shots rang out. One of those bullets struck Nico. He tried to run, but the wound was too severe. Less than an hour later, he collapsed in a nearby field. By the time first responders arrived, it was already too late. Nico had bled out. All they could do now was find out who pulled the trigger. As the investigation began, police identified one of the many witnesses as a possible suspect: 17-year-old Mawu Revels, who was swiftly brought in for interrogation.
