On April 8th, 2022, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting in Pensacola, Florida. Upon arriving at a residence in Bellview, deputies discovered a tragic scene. On the ground lay a woman, bleeding out from a shotgun wound to her stomach. Next to her was her husband, holding their 18-year-old son, who was frantic and breaking down. With early statements from the father and son, it quickly became clear that the teenager was somehow involved in the incident. But why would a son shoot his own mother?
