Billy Payne JR. and Billie Jean Hayworth met while working together at a local cotton factory. It was love at first sight and they fell head over heels for each other. After a year of dating, Billie Jean found out she was expecting a child and Billy was ecstatic. They welcomed a baby boy and their love for each other continued to grow. By January 2012, the couple was happily living together and raising their seven month-old son, Tyler. On the morning of January 31st, a friend, Roy Charles Stephens, arrived at Billy and Billie Jean's home and observed the back door of their house to be wide open. He went inside and discovered the bodies of Billy and Billie Jean, who had each been shot once in the head. In addition, BILLY'S throat had been slashed. Amongst the bloody crime scene was the couple's 7-month-old son unharmed but covered in his mother's blood and still in her arms .
