In today's NO BS Interrogation, we take a look at a case out of Champaign, IL. On June 9, 2017. Just a few months after arriving from China to the United States, Yingying Zhang goes missing from the college campus . After investigating, detectives arrive at a suspect... Brendt Allen Christensen. This is his interrogation, which took place on June 15, 2017 (SPOILERS BELOW) Yingying Zhang was beaten with a baseball bat and nearly decapitated... Christensen eventually admitted to the crime. On June 30, 2017, Christensen was arrested and charged with the murder of Yingying Zhang. Christensen was tried and convicted of one count of kidnapping resulting in death and two counts of making false statements to agents of the FBI, but the jury deadlocked on whether or not to impose the death penalty. Christensen was sentenced on July 18, 2019, to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole plus 10 years.
